Step-by-step Guidance throughout the Process

Temporary residents are foreign nationals who are permitted to enter and remain in Canada for a limited and temporary period.  If you plan to visit family and friends, for holiday, or to work or study, you are required to obtain a visa to enter Canada.  However, some countries are visa-exempted and the foreign nationals would not need to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization to come to Canada

Eligibility requirements

Visitor Visa

A Visitor Visa is an official document issued by a visa officer to show that the foreign national has met the eligibility and admissibility requirements for a single entry or multiple entries to Canada

  • Hold a valid travel document

  • Essential to be in good health and complete a medical examination if required

  • Have sufficient funds to cover living expenses for yourself and any accompanying family members while in Canada

  • Have ties to home country (job, family, property, assets)

  • Intend to leave Canada at the end of the visit

Super Visa

The Super Visa is for Parents and Grandparents of permanent residents or Canadian Citizens which allows multiple entries and is valid for up to ten years.  The Parents and Grandparents are authorized to stay in Canada for up to two years at a time.  The applicate may include a spouse or common-law partner

  • Must be admissible

  • Complete a medical examination

  • Must get Canadian medical insurance coverage for at least one year from the date of entry

  • Must have a written financial agreement from the child or grandchild

  • The child or grandchild must demonstrate that they meet a minimum income requirement
